To care for injured,
wounded, sick, infirm and aged persons in the case of emergency, by
rendering first aid and transportation to hospitals or other places for
medical treatment and care.
To promote safety
from accidents and to disseminate knowledge of such first aid methods
and procedures and to engage and assist in such projects of like
character as will, in the judgment of the officers, be necessary and
proper and not prohibited.
We presently provide 911 emergency ambulance
service to the Montrose Fire District and Village of Buchanan (also
known as Cortlandt Ambulance District 1). We have been providing this
service for over 20 years. We have three New York State certified Basic
Life Support ambulances, a certified Rehabilitation Van and a New York
State certified Fly-car to provide services to our neighbors and to
give mutual aid assistance to the surrounding communities. We also
provide Advanced Life Support through an agreement with the Cortlandt
Regional Paramedics.
